ഉസ്മാൻ(റ).
അബൂബക്കർ(റ) മുത്ത് നബി ﷺ യോടൊപ്പം നിഴൽ പോലെ പിൻതുടരുകയാണ്. തിരുജീവിവിതത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ അധ്യായത്തിലും ഇനി അവിടുന്ന് കടന്നു വരും. നമുക്ക് ഇപ്പോൾ ഉസ്മാൻ (റ)ലേക്ക് വരാം.
പ്രാരംഭഘട്ടത്തിൽ തന്നെ ഇസ്‌ലാമിലേക്ക് വന്ന പ്രമുഖരിൽ ഒരാളാണ് ഉസ്മാൻ ബിൻ അഫ്ഫാൻ(റ). ഇസ്‌ലാമിലേക്ക് ആദ്യം വന്ന നാലു പേരിൽ നാലാമനാണ് ഞാൻ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറയാറുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഉസ്മാൻ(റ) ന്റെ ഇസ്ലാം സ്വീകരണത്തെ കുറിച്ച് മനോഹരമായ ഒരു നിവേദനം ഇങ്ങനെ വായിക്കാം. ഉസ്മാൻ(റ) കഅബയുടെ തണലിൽ ഇരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പെട്ടെന്നാണ് നബിﷺയുടെ മകൾ റുഖിയ്യ(റ)യും അബൂലഹബിൻ്റെ മകൻ ഉത്ബയും തമ്മിൽ വിവാഹം നടന്ന കാര്യം അറിയുന്നത്. അതീവ സുന്ദരിയായ റുഖിയ്യ(റ)യെ വിവാഹം ചെയ്യണമെന്ന ആഗ്രഹം ഉസ്മാനി(റ)നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതിനാൽ തന്നെ ഈ വാർത്ത കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ഒരു പ്രയാസമായി. ഉത്ബയേക്കാൾ മുന്നേ എനിക്ക് വിവാഹലോചന നടത്താമായിരുന്നു. ഉസ്മാൻ ആരോടെന്നില്ലാതെ പറഞ്ഞു. വീട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാവം കണ്ട അമ്മായി സഅദാബിൻത്കുറൈസ് കാര്യമന്വേഷിച്ചു. ജോത്സ്യം അറിയുന്നവരായിരുന്നു അവർ. അവരോട് വിഷയം പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ ഉസ്മാന്റെ(റ) മുഖത്ത് നോക്കി സംസാരിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. 'നീ ഭാഗ്യവാനാണ്. നിരവധി സൗഭാഗ്യങ്ങൾ നിന്നെത്തേടിയെത്തും. സുന്ദരിയായ ആ സുഗന്ധ പുഷ്പത്തെ നീ പ്രാപിക്കും. മഹദ് വ്യക്തിയുടെ മകളാണവൾ. ഉസ്മാൻ(റ) ചോദിച്ചു. അമ്മായി എന്തൊക്കെയാണീ പറയുന്നത്.
അതെ മോനെ സൗന്ദര്യവും സംസാര ഭംഗിയുമുള്ള ഉസ്മാനേ. മുഹമ്മദ് നബിﷺ അല്ലാഹുവിൻറെ ദൂതനാണ്, സത്യ പ്രവാചകൻ. തെളിവിന്, സത്യവും അസത്യവും വേർതിരിക്കുന്ന ഗ്രന്ഥവുമായിട്ടാണ് വന്നിട്ടുള്ളത്. നീ ആ പ്രവാചകനെ സമീപിക്കുക. അതിന് വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ നിനക്ക് ഒരു തടസ്സമാകാതിരിക്കട്ടെ. ഉസ്മാൻ(റ) ഇടപെട്ടു. ഇതൊക്കെ ഈ നാട്ടിലെ കാര്യങ്ങൾ തന്നെയല്ലേ?
അപ്പോൾ സുഅ്ദ: വിശദീകരിച്ചു. അബ്ദുല്ലാഹിയുടെ പുത്രൻ മുഹമ്മദ് ﷺ അല്ലാഹു നിയോഗിച്ച പ്രവാചകനാണ്. അവിടുന്ന് ക്ഷണിക്കുന്നത് അല്ലാഹുവിലേക്കാണ്. സുഅദ വിശേഷങ്ങൾ അങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ടേയിരുന്നു. പറയപ്പെട്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഞാൻ ആലോചിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അങ്ങനെ പുറത്തിറങിയപ്പോൾ അബൂബക്കർ(റ)നെ കണ്ടുമുട്ടി. വിവരങ്ങളെല്ലാം അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് പങ്കുവെച്ചു. എല്ലാം കേട്ടതിന് ശേഷം അബൂബക്കർ(റ) പറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങി. ഉസ്മാൻ താങ്കൾക്ക് ബോധവും വിവരവുമുള്ള ആളല്ലേ ഒന്നാലോചിച്ചു നോക്കൂ. ഈ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ബിംബങളൊക്കെ വെറും കല്ലുകളല്ലേ? ഉപകാരമോ ഉപദ്രവമോ ചെയ്യാത്ത കാഴ്ചയോ കേൾവിയോ ഇല്ലാത്ത വെറും കല്ലുകൾ. ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. ശരിയാണ്. അബൂബക്കർ(റ) തുടർന്നു. നിന്റെ അമ്മായി പറഞ്ഞത് സത്യമാണ്. മുഹമ്മദ് ﷺ പ്രവാചകത്വം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. നമുക്ക് പോയി പ്രവാചകനെ ഒന്ന് സന്ദർശിച്ചാലോ? ഞാൻ സമ്മതിച്ചു. ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരുമിച്ചു തിരുസവിധത്തിലെത്തി. നബി ﷺഎന്നോട് സംസാരിച്ചു ഓ ഉസ്മാൻ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെയും ലോകത്തെയാകെയും അല്ലാഹുവിലേക്ക് ക്ഷണിക്കാൻ നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ട അവന്റെ ദൂതനാണ്. അത് കൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ക്ഷണം സ്വീകരിക്കുക. ഇത്രയും കേട്ടപ്പോഴേക്ക് എനിക്ക് പിടിച്ചു നിൽക്കാനായില്ല. ഞാൻ ഇസ്ലാം സ്വീകരിച്ചു. ഏകദൈവ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പവിത്ര വാചകങ്ങൾ ഉച്ചരിച്ചു.
മുത്ത്നബി ﷺ യുടെ വിശ്വസ്ഥ അനുയായി ആയി പിൻതുടർന്നു. അധികം നാളുകൾ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. ഉത്ബ റുഖിയ്യ(റ)യുമായുള്ള വിവാഹത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പിന്മാറി. വിവാഹ ഉടമ്പടി കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഒരുമിച്ചു ജീവിക്കുന്നതിന് മുമ്പായിരുന്നു അത്. നബി ﷺ മകളെ ഉസ്മാനി(റ)ന് വിവാഹം ചെയ്തു കെടുത്തു. റുഖിയ്യ(റ)യുടെ വിയോഗാനന്തരം ഉമ്മുകുൽസൂമി(റ)നെയും നബിﷺ ഉസ്മാനി(റ)ന് വിവാഹം ചെയ്ത് കൊടുത്തു. നബി ﷺ ക്ക് അദ്ദേഹത്തോടുള്ള സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്നു.
ഉസ്മാൻ(റ) ഇസ്ലാം സ്വീകരിച്ചതിന്റെ പേരിൽ ഏറെ പ്രയാസങ്ങൾ അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കേണ്ടി വന്നു.
പിൽക്കാലത്ത് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സ്വത്തും നിലപാടും ഇസ്ലാമിക മുന്നേറ്റങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏറെ പ്രയോജനപ്പെട്ടു.

Uthman(RA):
Abu Bakar (R) follows the Prophetﷺ like a shadow. He will come through every chapters of the Prophet's ﷺ life. Let us now come to Uthman (RA).
Uthman bin Affan(R) was one of the prominent people who came to Islam in the early stage . He used to say that I am the fourth of the four people who first came to Islam. A nice report about the acceptance of Islam by Uthman (R), can be read as follows. Uthman(R) was sitting in the shade of the holy Ka'aba. He knew that the marriage between Ruqiya, the daughter of the Prophetﷺ and Utbah, the son of Abu Lahab, had taken place. He had desire to marry Ruqiyya, the beautiful daughter of the Prophetﷺ. So he felt a little bit grief. 'I could have proposed before Utba' . Usman(R) said to himself . He returned home. His aunt Sa'ada bint Kurais inquired about his sorrow . She was a lady who knew astrology. The matter was told to her . She looked at Usman's face and started talking. 'You are lucky. Many blessings will come to you. You will get that beautiful fragrant flower as your wife . She is the daughter of a great person. Usman asked. What are you talking about aunt?
Yes, my handsome and eloquent Usman. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is the Messenger of Allah. The true Prophet. For proof, he has come with a book that differentiates between truth and falsehood. You approach that Prophet. Let idols not be an obstacle for you. Uthman(R) intervened. 'Aren't these things usual in this country?
Su'ada Explained. Muhammad ﷺ, the son of Abdullahi, is the Prophet appointed by Allah. He invites to Allah. Su'ada continued to tell the stories like that. I started to think about what was said. When I went out, met Abu Bakar (RA) and shared the informations with him. After hearing everything, Abu Bakar(R) started saying. ' Uthman; Aren't you an intelligent and knowledgeable person? Mere stones without sight or hearing do no good or harm. I said. 'That's right'. Abu Bakar continued. What your aunt said is true. Muhammad ﷺ has declared Prophecy . How about visiting the Prophetﷺ right now ?.I agreed. Thus together we reached before the beloved Prophet ﷺ. The Prophetﷺ spoke with me . 'Oh Uthman ! I am the appointed Messenger to invite you and all the people to Allah. So accept the invitation of the Almighty Allah' . When I heard this, I could not hold back and uttered the sacred words of Monotheism.
Followed the Prophet ﷺ as a loyal follower. Before long Utba withdrew from his marriage bond with Ruqiya. That was before they live together after the marriage agreement.The Prophet ﷺ married off his daughter to Uthman (R) . After the death of Ruqiyyah(R) , Ummu Kulsoom(R) was also given in marriage to Uthman(R). It was part of Prophet ﷺ's unique love for him.
'Uthman had to face many difficulties because of his acceptance of Islam.
Later, his wealth and stance turned very useful for Islamic movements.
